Well, this is a fairly new genre of tattoos, and it’s debatable whether this is a step forwards or backwards. While nobody can deny the incredible visuals of the video game world are excellent material for tattoos, with bright colours and cartoon-like styles, is it really a good idea to dedicate your arm to Sonic the Hedgehog, forever? Hmmm…

Check out the Into You website for some amazing artwork by Mr X. It’s not to everyone’s taste but his extremely bold and simple style is pretty original and impressive, even if a lot of the subject matter is the usual same-old-stuff.

All I can say is well done to the owner if this tattoo, it is absolutely brilliant.
Britney Spears is an undisputed musical genius and her rise and fall deserves to be commemorated in this way. The Chinese ribs caught between her teeth effect is spot on, too. I really wish I’d thought of this first, though.
Oh well.

Trucker Tom Face Tattoo
A site well worth checking out is Trucker Tom’s Tattoo page. We first heard of Tom a few years ago when he was (and still is!) a star of the podcasting scene. Tom was a regular on Adam Curry’s Daily Source Code show at a time when podcasting was just beginning to explode and people like Adam Curry and his Podshow company were at the forefront of this DIY media broadcasting revolution. Tom, a man of surprises to say the least, applies himself with diligence to many interests, from trucking and tattooing to biking and computer maintenance.

There’s no doubt that swallows and the whole old school tattoo aesthetic are well and truly back in fashion. There’s no shortage of swallow designs doing the rounds at the minute, but these gorgeous designs from Toni Moore at Modern Body Art are the best we’ve seen in a long time – truly graphic and illustrative and she has a great eye for colour. Great news today – the Body Illustrated tattoo flash shop is now open.
It’s a modest start with just the one design available for now, but please bear with us as the library grows – there is plenty of artwork ready to go online for your delight, it’s just a case of finding the time to get it all up there!
All designs will be professionally rendered vector artwork, featuring the fully shaded and coloured version along with the outline. The artwork is in PDF format, so it can be scaled to any size (even billboard size!) and there will be no loss of quality or sharpness!
